Katy & Keegans Cape Horn Estate wedding was one for the books. Tucked in the Columbia River Gorge, surrounded by pine trees with sweeping views of the Oregon side of the Gorge, it’s breathtaking. That is to say, it’s a great venue to show off all the beauty the PNW has to offer to out of town wedding guests. I’m super looking forward to

What is your favorite memory or moment from your wedding day?
Keegan’s best man singing our first dance song was so special. You can tell how much it meant to Keegan, and honestly, we like his rendition better than the original!
Why did you choose to have your wedding at Cape Horn Estate? What was special about it?
The view of the Columbia River Gorge cannot be topped anywhere else! A significant majority of our guest list was from out of state and this venue was a chance for us to share how absolutely stunning Oregon is and why we love it so much.
Describe the “vibe” or feeling you were going for when planning your day?
Intimate and real – every decision was a conscious one and we only did things that we wanted to do, not what we were “supposed” to do.
Was there a certain moment during the ceremony you want to keep close forever?
I usually don’t love public speaking, but I really enjoyed reading my own vows! Speaking from the heart for all our closest friends and family to hear was really special and I had almost no nerves!
If you could pick a song to match the feels of your wedding day what would it be?
Our first dance song – Bedside Manner by Dawes
What is one piece of advice you would give to future couples planning their wedding?
Outsource! Your vendors will have so many amazing tips and tricks that will save so much time, energy, and money on your wedding day.
